Founding Of The Program:

   Dr. Andreae Collins and Ray Blair Canady saw the need to help our cancer

patients in the county. The fund is set up through the Knox County Health Department and deposited into Union National Bank in Barbourville Ky.

  Since the program began there has been over three hundred people been given assistance through this program. We are trying very hard to keep the program built up. The number of patients are great in our county.
  Kami Gamble is the one to contact at the health dept .should you be diagnosed with cancer. I have found Kami most willing to inform us of any thing we need to know about the progress of the program.

  The books are open for any one to see that would question the program. There is no  one paid that is involved in the program, it is all done on a volunteer basis. When we approached them to do the fundraising they welcomed us with open arms.

  This is one of a kind program where the money is given to the cancer patients. And the funds stay strictly in the county. The need to help our own is most satisfactory with the people in the county, because they realize the great need we have here.
